CPR/Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider Skills Exam
The CPR/BLS Healthcare Provider 1- Hour Skills Exam is designed to meet the needs of individuals responding to cardiac and respiratory emergencies who have already completed the online HeartCode CPR/BLS Course. See link below to purchase a key for the online session. Students arrive having already completed the written exam online and show a successful online completion certificate prior to skills verification. Students can ask questions and will be allowed practice time. Necessary materials will be provided. Students registering for this course do not need to purchase a separate manual as they receive an electronic copy of the course text through the online segment.
Students can expect to be tested on the following: • Key changes in basic life support, reflecting new science from the 2010 American Heart Association Guidelines for Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Emergency Cardiovascular Care • Critical concepts of high-quality CPR • The American Heart Association Chain of Survival • 1-Rescuer CPR and AED for adult, child and infant • 2-Rescuer CPR and AED for adult, child and infant • Differences between adult, child and infant rescue techniques • Bag-mask techniques for adult, child and infant • Rescue breathing for adult, child and infant • Etc.
