• How do I cancel or reschedule my class?

    If you need to cancel or reschedule a course, please contact our office as soon as possible. We do have a Cancelation and Reschedule Policy:

    REFUND POLICY

    INDIVIDUAL ENROLLMENT: AIL FEES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE, and may be used only sea credit toward
    another course based on the following calculation:

    * If you provide notice of cancellation more than 14 calendar days before the course, you will receive a credit of 100% toward mother course
    * If you provide notice of cancellation less than 14 calendar days before the course, you will receive a credit of 50% cf paid fees toward another course.
    * If you provide notice of cancellation less than 48 hours before the course, you will receive a credit of 25% of paid fees toward another course.

    A full refund will be given if course is canceled by provider. Should there be any problem, we will contact you within 48 hours after your registration information has been received.

  • Can I return a manual or product?

    No, all product sales are final.

  • What happens if I forget to pick up my books and/or products?

    Any products, books or tuition unclaimed within 30 days of scheduled class will be considered forfeited.

  • Can I bring my children, pets or any friends with me to class?

    What about an interpreter? Only the student registered for the course will be allowed entrance. No pets or children. Special accommodations/requests need to be made PRIOR to the course during business hours.

  • Can I arrive late for class?

    Classes will start promptly; While we are reasonable, arriving after the start time of your scheduled class is considered a cancellation and will not be eligible for refund.

  • Do I have to have a student provider manual for class?

    Yes. The AHA requires each student to have access to a student provider manual before, during and after the course. You can purchase the manuals at time of registration, online, or at our office.

  • Where can I find the ACLS and/or PALS pre-course assessment?

    The AHA pre course assessment can be found at www.heart.org/eccstudent.  BEFORE THE COURSE, it is required to review and understand the information in your ACLS/PALS Provider Manual and successfully complete the self-assessment modules on the above website with a passing score of 70. You will need to enter in the password found in your Provider Manual on page ii. You will be required to turn in the scores from your completed self-assessment.   • If I cancel my class, how will my course cost be refunded?

    As mentioned all fees are non-refundable.

  • I have lost my card, can I get a replacement?

    Yes. To order a replacement card please visit our website or office.

  • How do I register for a course?

    To register for a course, click the course you need above to see the list of available dates. Select the date you want and follow the prompts.

  • What are eCards? Are they the same as a regular hard copy card?

    The AHA now offers online eCards! Electronic course cards are viewable online, and offer a valid alternative to printed course cards. Can be presented to employers as proof of successful completion of an AHA course, and employers can verify the eCard online. May be printed, if needed. Once you have been assigned an eCard (within 1-2 business days of the course), you will receive an e-mail notification with a link to claim your AHA eCard online. eCards can be viewed/printed online for 2 yrs.

  • The class I want to register for shows it is full online. Can I be squeezed in?

    No. If a class is showing full, the class location is at max capacity.

  • Do classes ever get cancelled?

    In rare occasions, classes could be cancelled due to weather, instructor illness or low enrollment. If that does happen, HeartShare waives all rescheduling fees.

  • How do I become an AHA Instructor?

    To become an American Heart Association Instructor, please select the Instructor Course section above for more information.

  • Does HeartShare offer private onsite courses?

    Yes. We have a fully mobile system so we can bring any of our classes directly to you. Contact us for details.

  • What does ACLS stand for?

    Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support.

  • What does PALS stand for?

    Pediatric Advanced Life Support.

  • What does NRP stand for?

    NeoNatal Resuscitation Program.

  • What does BLS stand for?

    Basic Life Support.
